Product information

Display: 1.9-inch TFT for the Nerdaxe family

Behind this display sits the 1.9-inch TFT based on the LILYGO T-Display S3 – exactly the board that handles the readout in the miners of the Nerdaxe family. So you are not getting a copy but the same display fitted there at the factory.

The board carries 802.11 Wi-Fi, BLE 5.0, 16 MB of flash and programmable buttons, with the pins already soldered. That makes it both things at once: a replacement for a failed readout and a spare board for the next build.

What you need it for

  • Display dark or garbled: if the readout stays black or shows stripes, it is usually the display board that is due – not the miner.
  • Repair and second device: a spare board takes the waiting out of a repair or goes straight into the next build.
  • Values on the device: hash rate and status are back on the miner itself instead of only in the web interface.
  • More than a readout: Wi-Fi, BLE 5.0, 16 MB of flash and programmable buttons sit on the board – room to play for anyone going beyond a straight swap.

Compatibility: Nerdaxe family yes, Bitaxe no

This 1.9-inch TFT sits in the Nerdaxe Gamma, Nerdaxe Gaia, NerdQaxe++, NerdQaxe++ Hydro, NerdQaxe Copper Pro and NerdOctaxe. For other devices in the series, check the display entry in the technical data first.

It does not fit a Bitaxe. The Bitaxe Gamma and the other Bitaxe models carry a 0.91-inch OLED – a different format, a different part, not interchangeable in either direction.

Who the display is for

For owners of a Nerdaxe, NerdQaxe or NerdOctaxe miner with a failed readout, and for everyone who wants a spare board on the shelf. Customers describe the swap as straightforward: the display was recognised immediately after fitting.

It is less of a fit if you are hoping for a bigger screen. This is the original 1.9-inch format – from a few metres away the text stays small, and the board changes nothing about your miner’s hash rate or power draw.

What you need to fit it

No soldering on the board itself, as the pins come soldered. Still check how the display is mounted in your device before ordering. For the swap: disconnect the miner from power, release the old board, plug the new one in with the same orientation and start up – the steps that follow are in the NerdQaxe setup guide. Adjust the brightness to your location if needed.

Accessories and sensible upgrades

Ready to make your Nerdaxe whole again?

A failed display is no reason to write off a running miner. With the T-Display S3 board the figures are back where you need them in passing – and a spare part is ready for the next time.

Frequently asked questions about the OLED Display

Does the display fit my Nerdaxe or NerdQaxe?

Yes, if your device uses the 1.9-inch TFT. That is documented for the Nerdaxe Gamma, Nerdaxe Gaia, NerdQaxe++, NerdQaxe++ Hydro, NerdQaxe Copper Pro and NerdOctaxe. For other models, check the display entry in the technical data.

Is this the same display as the factory one?

Yes. It is the 1.9-inch TFT based on the LILYGO T-Display S3, exactly the board fitted in these miners – not a smaller replica.

Does it fit a Bitaxe?

No. The Bitaxe Gamma and the other Bitaxe models have a 0.91-inch OLED. That is a different display format, and a swap does not work in either direction.

Do I have to solder?

Not on the board – the pins are already soldered. You should still check how the display is fastened in your device before the swap.

What can the board do besides showing values?

It brings 802.11 Wi-Fi, BLE 5.0, 16 MB of flash and programmable buttons. For a straight replacement you need none of that; for your own projects it is the basis.

What is included?

The display board. Screws, cables or tools are not included, because you reuse the existing mounting during the swap.

Does my miner keep mining if the display is broken?

Yes. The display shows operating values, it does not control mining. You simply see nothing on the device and have to open the web interface for every look.

How large is the screen?

1.9 inches – the same size fitted at the factory in the Nerdaxe, NerdQaxe and NerdOctaxe series.

How do I replace the display?

Disconnect the miner from power, carefully release the old board, plug the new one in with the same orientation and start the miner. Customers report the display was recognised immediately; the job takes a few minutes.

Is the screen easy to read?

In normal room lighting yes, as customers consistently report; brightness can be adapted to the location. From a greater distance the text does get small – it is meant as a readout for a desk.

Can I retrofit a device that has no display?

Only where a display position is provided. For devices that have no readout by design, the board is not a retrofit kit.

What is the difference to the display in the Bitaxe?

Format and technology: the Nerdaxe Gamma and the NerdQaxe models use the 1.9-inch TFT, while a Bitaxe uses a 0.91-inch OLED. How the values come about on the Nerdaxe is shown in the setup guide.

Fast perfekt
