Bitaxe Gamma Hex 1300: up to 10.5 TH/s from six liquid-cooled BM1370 chips
The Bitaxe Gamma Hex 1300 puts six BM1370 ASICs on one board, the chip of the Bitaxe Gamma. Out of the box it delivers around 8.4 TH/s on roughly 150 W, about 17.9 J/TH. Overclocked, around 10.5 TH/s on roughly 200 W are possible, a quarter more. A closed liquid loop cools the chips, and a dedicated 80 mm fan on the back takes care of the voltage regulators.
It is controlled like every Bitaxe: ESP32-S3, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and AxeOS in your browser. You set pool, worker and Bitcoin address yourself; you need no account and no cloud. The Gamma Hex 1300 is available to pre-order and ships from 16 November 2026.
Stock settings or overclocked
The Gamma Hex 1300 has two operating points. With the factory clock and voltage it runs at around 8.4 TH/s on roughly 150 W. With a higher clock and a higher core voltage it reaches around 10.5 TH/s on roughly 200 W. You set both in AxeOS and can switch back at any time.
- Stock: around 8.4 TH/s on roughly 150 W, about 17.9 J/TH.
- Overclocked: around 10.5 TH/s on roughly 200 W, about 19 J/TH.
- Difference: about 25 percent more hash rate for about a third more power.
So the extra performance costs efficiency. If frugal mining is your priority, stay with the stock settings. If you want the maximum, keep an eye on the temperatures for the first few days. Procedure and limits are in the overclocking guide.
Liquid for the chips, air for the voltage regulators
Six chips drawing 150 to 200 W together produce more heat than a heatsink with a small fan can remove quietly. On the Gamma Hex 1300 a closed liquid loop therefore picks up the heat right at the ASICs and releases it to the air through a radiator. On top comes an RGB fan with a grille in Bitcoin design.
The liquid cooling only reaches the chips. The voltage regulators and the other components on the back of the board are cooled by a second fan, 80 mm across. That is where heat would otherwise build up under continuous load. The manufacturer names this as the explicit goal: fewer failures from heat at the voltage regulators and a longer service life in 24/7 operation.
TPS546D24A voltage regulator and XT60 connector
The core voltage for the six chips comes from a TPS546D24A voltage regulator by Texas Instruments. How stable that voltage stays decides hash rate, temperature and error rate, especially when overclocked. On the Gamma Hex 1300 the power delivery is designed for the high load, together with its own cooling on the back.
Power enters the Gamma Hex 1300 through an XT60 plug. The connector comes from the RC hobby world, is built for high currents and locks firmly in place. At 150 to 200 W a loose contact would get hot; the XT60 largely rules that out.
Gamma Hex 1300 and Bitaxe 702 side by side
- Chips: six BM1370 instead of six BM1368. The BM1370 is the newer, more efficient generation.
- Hash rate: around 8.4 instead of 4.2 TH/s out of the box, twice as much.
- Power: roughly 150 instead of 90 W. Per TH/s the Gamma Hex 1300 needs less power: about 17.9 instead of 21.4 J/TH.
- Cooling: liquid cooling plus an extra 80 mm fan instead of air cooling alone.
The Bitaxe 702 remains the smaller device for everyone who wants to stay at 90 W. The Gamma Hex 1300 is for everyone who wants twice the hash rate and accepts more power and heat for it.
What 150 to 200 W mean day to day
Running around the clock, the Gamma Hex 1300 uses about 110 kWh a month on stock settings and about 146 kWh overclocked. What that costs at your tariff and how hash rate and power compare is worked out by the mining calculator with your own figures.
All of those 150 to 200 W end up as heat in the room, so in winter the miner helps heat it. Stand it in the open, let the radiator and the rear fan draw and blow air freely, and do not put it in a closed cabinet.
Solo mining with up to 10.5 TH/s
Every hash is a ticket in the same draw the large farms take part in. If your Gamma Hex 1300 finds the matching block, the full reward of currently 3.125 BTC plus transaction fees goes to your own address, undivided and with no provider in between. At around 10.5 TH/s you hold about eight times as many tickets as with a Bitaxe Gamma, a good six times as many on stock settings. That does not change the order of magnitude of the chance; solo mining stays a matter of luck. How small it is, is shown in the article on the odds of finding a block.
Our solo pool pool.bitaxe.de runs in Frankfurt and charges a 0 % fee. The principle is explained in Bitcoin solo mining.
Pre-order: ships from 16 November 2026
The Gamma Hex 1300 is sold as a pre-order. Shipping starts on 16 November 2026, and orders go out in the order they were placed. You secure a unit from the first delivery, but you will have to wait until November for it.
Up and running in minutes
Setup works like on any Bitaxe: power, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and a browser are enough. The steps in detail are in the Bitaxe setup guide.
- 1
Connect it
Plug the included 12 V power supply into the XT60 connector. The miner starts and on first boot opens its own Wi-Fi network for setup.
- 2
Set up Wi-Fi
Switch to that network, pick your 2.4 GHz home network and enter the password. The miner is then reachable through your router.
- 3
Enter pool and address
Open AxeOS in your browser, enter pool, worker and your Bitcoin address, save and restart. For our solo pool that means host
stratum.bitaxe.de, port3333.
Who the Bitaxe Gamma Hex 1300 is for
For everyone who wants to run open home mining with clearly more hash rate without moving to a loud industrial machine. Six chips, one power input, one Wi-Fi connection and one dashboard instead of a shelf full of single devices.
It is less of a fit when every watt counts or the device is meant for the bedroom: then a single-chip Bitaxe Gamma is the more frugal and quieter choice. And if you want even more hash rate, you end up at the NerdOctaxe with around 12 TH/s.
