The NerdOctaxe: eight chips on one board
The NerdOctaxe is the largest miner of the Nerd family. Eight BM1370 ASICs deliver about 12 TH/s at around 200 W, controlled like the smaller models by an ESP32-S3 with open firmware, operated in the browser and with a display on the device. That gives it about nine times the block chance of a Bitaxe Gamma. It also needs a 12 V power supply with 20 A and a place where 200 W of heat and an audible fan do not bother anyone.
Air or water
The NerdOctaxe is cooled by a 92 mm fan. The NerdOctaxe Hydro carries a water block and reaches about 14 TH/s at 220 W, meant for places where air cooling reaches its limits. If you would rather spread the hashrate over smaller devices, the four-chip class is under NerdQaxe.
The mining calculator works out power cost and block chance for both versions. Measured overclocking values are in the overclocking guide.
